WordPress REST API Tutorial (Real Examples)

WordPress comes with a built-in (as in no plugins required) REST API as of version 4.7. In this lesson we learn how to load and save content to/from the WordPress database on the fly using AJAX and the brand new REST API.

  1. About this hit this!

Have you seen https://davidwalsh.name/ ? Is his entire site with this technique or simply AJAX?
I assume he uses the HTML5 History API and changes that dynamically depending on what content is loaded without having to reload the header, sidebar or footer sections of whatever CMS he uses.

What are your thoughts on that?

Also is this SEO friendly? Is it not that the bot cannot see the content that is loaded later or dynamically? So how can AJAX be good with SEO?

  2. Hello there!

Mr Brad, thank you very much for making available all this learning content.

Makes me feel bad to know that I’ve paid for presential courses and didn’t learnd 10% of what you shown us.

    Muito obrigado!
